Fall Graduate and Part-Time Open
House huge success.
On Oct. 22, the semi-annual Graduate and
Part-Time Undergraduate and Continuing Studies Open House welcomed 564
prospective students to the Villanova campus. Held every spring and fall
semester for the past six years, this fall’s attendance set an all-time
record with interest in the many graduate programs offered by Villanova
growing with the recognition of Villanova’s first class academic
offerings during these uncertain economic conditions.
The almost 100 faculty and staff who participated
added to the evening’s success. Dr. Robert Stokes, associate dean
of Part-Time Studies and University Outreach remarked, “It was an
outstanding team effort that gave great exposure to every graduate and
part-time studies and continuing studies program we offer.” Commenting
on the number of people who visited, Stokes said, “It’s obvious
that perspective students want to meet with faculty and be on the Villanova
campus to help make the graduate school decision.” Interest was
high in all areas of study with engineering and nursing reporting a higher
number of candidates than usual stopping by their tables.
The Spring 2003 Graduate and Part-Time
Open House will be held on Tuesday, March 18, between 4-8 p.m. in the
Villanova Room.
